Design and development of a software infrastructure that realizes a wireless communication between electronic sensors and a Linux mini PC dedicated to acquire data; sensors uses a dedicate protocol in order to communicate via wireless with the Linux mini PC. Data are accessed using a web application, that shows sensors' status, data acquired, results obtained. The web application works also like a control panel dedicated to administrate the main sensors functions. The sensors, designed and realized by ED (Elettronica Dedicata), allows you to collect data from various sources and from many environments; Data collected, sensors status and all informations are accessible from remote users (if the server is properly connected to Internet).
It is possible use many sensors, placed in a given environment, in order to monitor various types of information; data are communicated via wireless (the communication can be bi-directional) with the server to collect data. If necessary, the server may be a device of extremely small size (think of a parallelepiped of 120 x 120 x 35 mm). The management policies of the communication varies depending on the needs, and it is possible to satisfy different requirements: continuous monitoring, monitoring at certain intervals of time, monitoring event.
The system obtained can be utilized for several applications, especially in industrial field. Since both the hardware (sensors) and software are made entirely from ED and the Studio Rivadossi, they are highly customizable and they can be adapted to meet multiple needs to realize systems for control and monitor.
