Design and realization of a VPN (Virtual Private Network) dedicated to support the interconnection of 10 doctors' offices: the use of this implementation has been tested and approved from ASL in relation to the health services network.
The goal is to allow a doctor to use a remote connection in order to manage the software installed in the studies of fellow members of the project. Every doctor can so be able to provide properly assistance to patients of the absent colleague. In this context have been addressed several issues: conception and design of a good solution (target: costs saving and flexible), overcoming various technical difficulties encountered during implementation of the project management. Hight attention was posed to privacy and security.
We obtained the interconnection between the doctors' computers through the use of a VPN (Virtual Private Network): data are encapsulated inside a encrypted tunnel, so communications are protected and not decipherable.
