Kind of servers
We have significant experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems: during the years the core business became focused on machines based on the Linux operating system. We have great skills in Linux servers management, in particular servers dedicated to providing Internet services (web server, mail server), extranet and intranet services (file server, print server, fax server, proxy server, backup server).
Computer Networks
We offer design, implementation and maintenance of computer networks and network devices: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access point, ... . We have experience on projects where the use of virtual private networks VPN are required for security reasons and we have skills in network connections based on wireless technology.
Installation and configuration
We perform the installation and configuration of servers to meet different kind of needs (see Skill and Technologies). The Studio Rivadossi Team is able to support the firm in finding the best solution in relation to the goals to be achieved and the real needs of the case.caso.
Management, maintenance, emergency
We performed server management and server maintenance, either on call or through ongoing management programs. The ongoing management may also be performed in remote mode. For firms we offer housing solutions: machines does not reside on the firm's headquarters but in a structure that provides network connectivity, power, UPS. Very interesting solutions based on virtual servers (in order to save costs and have advantages about management, backup and upgrades).
Replacement and Upgrade
Very interesting for companies are the consultancy services and technical assistance when it is in planning the server upgrade or server replacement. Thanks to the use of virtual machines we are able to carry on a virtual platform most of the existing servers. Once servers are virtualized, maintenance is easy, reliability is increased, become possible execute advanced backups in order to avoid to reinstall the operating system in the case of disaster recovery.
